* Run the bootstrapper (via your start menu)
* Click install patch (once on first launch)
* Click sign in (top right of bootstrapper)
* Click launch game
Looks a lot like Dreadnought. That's an understatement lol.
I see one problem. If you want to shoot down your own ship is blocking the target visually.

meh…I was interested til it was brought to light that it's strictly PvP…I don't even bother with CQC on Elite…

Why have I never bothered to click on the Steam ad whenever I saw it. This looks dope. I was made aware of this game by someone comparing Cloud Pirates to it. Hope it doesn't disappoint.
This game is so fucking good.
I personally like the limited load out as you know what you're going up against and you and you can adopt certain tactics,e.g you know to stay on top of a gladiator due to broadside cannons
I disagree on your comment about the microtransactions. Frankly, they do not detract from the game at all because you can easily earn all of the ships through in-game credits. The only thing the microtransactions do is speed things up for people who don't really wanna work towards getting more ships. Also, suggesting that you need to pay for "good" ships is false. A ship is only as good as the pilot. There are no better ships in FS, its all relative as different ships do different things. Some ships hardcounter other ships too so you have to take that into account. (Although I would argue that stealth ships are… much more troublesome to deal with.cough Ghost cough)

Actually, I don't find in-atmosphere battles any less logical. I mean the maps FS are "kind of" space, but they're packed with artificial bits of cover like CSGO (who would you risk flying a flagship into an asteroid cluster like this?! ;).
